Adding Saltroad to Your LinkedIn Profile

How to add your Saltroad role to your LinkedIn profile, field by field.

This is entirely optional, but if you would like to promote yourself as a Saltroad therapist on LinkedIn, you are very welcome to do so.

Simply visit your own profile on LinkedIn, scroll down to the Experience section and click the little + icon in the top right of that section and select 'Add position'.

You will be provided with a form with the following fields to fill in as follows:

Title: Some people are using 'Associate Speech and Language Therapist', but this can really be whatever therapist title you normally use, such as:

  • Speech and Language Therapist

  • Independent Speech and Language Therapist

  • Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

  • Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

  • Senior Speech and Language Therapist

  • Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist

  • etc.

Employment type: Leave blank or 'Self-employed'

Company: Saltroad.com (our company logo & name should appear as you type)

Location: Enter your town / city or leave blank

Location type: Any of Hybrid, On-Site, Remote depending on whether you offer services F2F, Online or both

I am currently working in this role: Check this box

Start date: Month you joined Saltroad

End current position as of now: Leave this unchecked unless Saltroad is your sole source of work. Checking this box will tell LinkedIn that you have finished whatever is listed as your current role.

Description: You can enter whatever you want here to describe what you do at Saltroad, but if you want something to start with and edit, feel free to use the text below:

I provide my online / face-to-face Speech and Language Therapy services to families via Saltroad.com

Saltroad matches families with experienced, HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapists, based on their needs, budget and schedule.

Profile headline: This is your main headline on LinkedIn (which displays below your name), so you probably don't need to change this (but up to you).

Skills: We recommend; 'Speech Therapy' & 'Teletherapy' (if you offer an online service) as pre-existing LinkedIn options. You can also enter any specialisms or other skills as necessary (LinkedIn allows you to create your own if they don't exist already)

Note: If you have multiple active, overlapping 'positions' you may want / need to reorder how they appear in your Experience section so your main role remains at the top.
