Saltroad is a private speech therapy company. The clients we provide are Saltroad clients, including after discharge from an episode of care. We have a direct relationship with them, and check in with them on a regular basis.
This means that your agreement with us is the same as you would expect when working with any other private speech therapy company (whether employed or as an associate) - where it is inherently clear that therapists cannot take that clinic’s clients for themselves.
Similarly, if you work in the NHS - you cannot see patients from your Trust privately.
Saltroad is no different.
Therapists cannot on the one hand benefit from our clients, services, tools, resources, support etc. and then with the other hand, actively damage our business by taking away our clients.
This is all covered in detail in our Therapist Terms of Use, which you agree to when signing up to the platform.
But to provide clarity on this in non-legalise language, below are a simple set of rules which all Saltroad therapists are obliged to work within:
Clients introduced to a therapist through Saltroad are Saltroad clients. Whist a therapist is on Saltroad, they will never provide services to the client, or take payment from them, outside of Saltroad.
This does not change if a client is discharged, pauses therapy, takes a consolidation break, or there is any other gap in their care. If they come back to the therapist, they must continue to pay for services via Saltroad.
If a therapist leaves Saltroad, this continues to apply for an additional six months after they provide written notice to leave.
Therapists will not invite or accept a proposal from a Saltroad client to work or receive payment outside Saltroad, in any circumstances.
If a client asks to work with a therapist outside of Saltroad, the therapist will inform Saltroad immediately.
Working with a Saltroad client outside Saltroad is a breach of the Therapist Terms of Use, and as such, Saltroad may recover the sums due under those Terms, together with costs and interest.
Therapists will not pass, refer or otherwise facilitate a Saltroad client to be seen by any other therapist or assistant without written permission from Saltroad.
Saltroad may have a duty to report professional conduct concerns related to this matter to the HCPC.
