Quickstart Guide

A step-by-step checklist to set up your profile, availability, payments and services and get ready for clients.

Below is a checklist of things to do to get your Saltroad profile set up and ready for clients (it looks like a lot, but really it should all only take you 10-15 mins at most).

0. Accessing Saltroad

You can access your Saltroad account via this link. And if you have forgotten your password, you can reset it here.

  • Add your bio & profile picture: just a nice little intro to yourself for families to view.

  • Add your skills, experience & preferences: these are the details displayed on your profile, and the ones we use to match you with the best suited referrals (the conditions you cover, specialisms, age groups, online/face-to-face, travel distance, and more).

  • Set your schedule / availability for Intro Calls: once you're matched with a family, the first step is to have a short intro call with them before booking any ongoing services.

  • Set your schedule / availability for Active Customers: you can set a separate schedule for your ongoing customer services, eg. assessments, therapy sessions etc.

  • Connect your calendar (eg. Google, Apple, Outlook), this ensures that if you have any appointments (even outside of Saltroad) which clash with your availability, these block out your availability on those days / times.

  • Connect your bank account: we need this to be able to pay you, and it gives you visibility of customer payments, your payouts and invoices.

  • Create your service listings: add your assessments, therapy sessions etc. and their prices, which creates a checkout link for each service, through which customers will pay. To appear on your profile you'll need at least one Public service and at least one block of therapy sessions (the page flags this with an "Action Needed" banner until both are set).

  • Check your Identity & Credentials: make sure your mobile number and HCPC number are filled in, and update the Insurance & DBS statements as appropriate. You must have insurance to practise (it's required for your profile to be published), but if you are a member of the RCSLT, then you already have Professional Indemnity Insurance through your membership.
