When you see a referral you'd like to take, you put yourself forward directly in your Saltroad account.
You can start from either your Personalised Referrals page or any referral in the channels, but the action itself always happens in your account.
How to submit your interest
Open the referral and, under "Interested in this referral?", click Yes.
A short form opens (titled with the referral reference). Complete the relevant details:
How soon could you provide services? Choose from the dropdown (from "Within the next week" through to "More than a 12 week wait"). This is about when you could start services, not the intro call, which should always happen as soon as possible.
Approx. travel costs per session (optional), shown for face-to-face referrals. Enter the number of miles and Saltroad works out the cost using your travel rate (or £0.45 per mile if you haven't set one). There's a Check travel distance link that opens the route in Google Maps.
Are you offering online or F2F services? If the family is open to both, choose which you're offering. If the referral is online-only or face-to-face-only, this is set for you.
Include a personalised note (optional), a free-text box to add anything specific about the services you can provide.
Click Submit.
After you submit
You'll see a confirmation ("Your interest in this referral has been submitted") and the referral will show Interest submitted, with a note that you'll be notified if you're matched.
Because the next step (if you're assigned) is the customer booking an intro call with you, it's worth checking that your Availability for Intro Calls is up to date at this point.
To give yourself the best chance of being assigned, set your expected start date as soon as you realistically can, and use the note to highlight any relevant experience.
