Accessing Referrals

Your Personalised Referrals page: how matched referrals are shown and how to view and act on them.

All referrals on Saltroad have completed our online screener and have had a 40 minute parent consultation call with one of our in-house therapists.

This means that by the time we share them, they are very well-qualified and ready to purchase services once assigned to an appropriate therapist.

We share referrals in two places, and you're encouraged to use both:

  • In your Saltroad account: your Personalised Referrals page shows the referrals matched to your profile, skills, location and preferences, on a map and list view. This is the easiest way to see the jobs most relevant to you and to put yourself forward.

  • In Slack: we also post referrals into the regional location channels and the online channel (see the Slack section).

Personalised Referrals

Your Personalised Referrals page is the home tab of your dashboard. It shows referrals matched to your profile, your skills and the conditions you cover, your location and travel distance, age groups and availability, on both a map and a list view.

Click into a referral to see the case summary, the area(s) of support, how far the family is willing to travel, the predicted NHS Trust, whether they've had an assessment recently, and whether they're ready to start.

If you'd like to take the case, open the referral and click "Yes" under "Interested in this referral?", then complete the short form (when you could start, any travel cost, online or face-to-face, and an optional note) and hit Submit.

The referral will then show "Interest submitted", and we'll review the interest on our side.

Two further views are available from the Referrals page:

  • All Active Referrals: every active referral from the last couple of months, not just your personalised matches.

  • F2F Waitlist: families specifically waiting for a face-to-face match.
