Accessing Slack

What Slack is, why Saltroad uses it, and the ways you can access it (web, desktop and mobile).

Slack is a third-party messaging app for business, much like how you would use Whatsapp groups or Microsoft Teams, which we use to post referrals, to send you direct-message notifications, and to manage the community of Saltroad therapists.

You can now also view the referrals matched to you directly in your Saltroad account, on your Personalised Referrals page (see the Referrals section of this handbook). Slack remains where we post referrals into the regional and online channels, where we send referral notifications, and where the wider Saltroad community happens.

Once you have joined Slack via our invitation, you can access Slack in a number of ways, depending on your preferences:

  • Web Browser: Our Slack community can be accessed from any web browser by going to this link: https://saltroadreferrals.slack.com

  • Desktop App: If you prefer a native application on your computer, Slack provides options for both Apple and Microsoft computers here.

  • Mobile App: Particularly useful for making sure you don't miss job opportunities whilst you are on the move, Slack provides apps for Apple and Android on the App Store and Google Play.
