Saltroad has a built-in scheduling system to make it easy for customers to book with you without any back-and-forth over email or calls to try to find a time that suits.
To make best use of this, set your availability and connect your calendar (Apple, Google or Outlook) on the Availability page. The page lets you manage your availability so both new and existing clients can book with you.
At the top of the page is an "Accepting New Customers?" toggle. Turn it off when you don't want to be matched with or booked by new customers, your existing bookings are unaffected.
Setting Your Availability
You set availability against separate schedules, so you can keep different hours for different things:
Availability for New Customer Intro Calls: when potential new customers can book an intro call (eg. only Tuesdays and Wednesdays, between 2pm–4pm).
Availability for Active Customers: when your active customers can book sessions.
Each schedule is editable on its own, and supports one-off date overrides as well as your normal weekly pattern.
Connecting Your Calendar
Connecting your calendar keeps your availability accurate and avoids double-booking.
Saltroad supports Google, Outlook and Apple calendars, and within the Calendar Integration section you can:
Add to calendar: choose which connected calendar your Saltroad bookings get added to.
Check for conflicts: choose which calendar(s) Saltroad checks, so anything else in those slots (or time you've blocked out as "busy") prevents a booking at the same time. You can connect multiple calendars and pick which ones count.
Conferencing
For online bookings, Saltroad attaches a video meeting link automatically.
In the Conferencing section you can add your preferred video apps and choose a default from:
Google Meet (Google Calendar must be connected)
Zoom Video
MS Teams Video (a Teams subscription is required)
There is also the option to use Cal Video, which is included with the booking system we use. But we recommend using one of the other options as many therapists have reported this option being unreliable.
