There are some requirements we need to check and confirm before you can take on Saltroad clients, which can be found on your account settings page.
Professional Indemnity Insurance
This is required by HCPC and therefore required to practice as an independent Speech and Language Therapist.
Your profile will not be visible unless you confirm that you have insurance.
For most therapists, this will be covered by your RCSLT membership, which includes Professional Indemnity Insurance.
(Note: if you are not residing in the UK you may still need alternative insurance).
If you are not an RCSLT member, then joining is probably the simplest and best approach (in that it comes with other benefits of being a member).
But you can of course set up your own insurance fairly simply through any professional indemnity insurance provider.

DBS Check
Whilst this is not a requirement for Saltroad, some customers may prefer their therapist to have one, and certain settings, such as schools, may require it.
The declaration reads: "I have a current and valid enhanced DBS check or enhanced Disclosure Scotland check or enhanced Access NI check, as appropriate." Confirming it displays a DBS badge on your profile.
Required Contact Details
Mobile Number: required so we can contact you about customers and notify you of referrals. Not shared with anyone.
Slack Member ID: add this to receive referral notifications by Slack direct message (see the Slack section). Not shared with anyone.
